Pre-Extension Demonstration and Evaluation of Engine Driven Soya Bean Thresher in East Wallaga Zone of Oromia, Ethiopia

With the aim of circumventing challenges faced farmers in soya bean threshing operation a demonstration new thresher was conducted Guto Gida and Ayana woredas total four kebeles. The demonstrated at farmer training center as well on farmers’ field evaluated for its performance against existing practices by sixty participating both sexes who were members farmer’s research groups. All valuable data collected through survey, measurement, count FGDs analyzed descriptive statistics. From analysis, observed to have capacity about five half quintals per hour efficiency 85 percent with safer limit breakage ranges from 2 3. This result could support conclusion that adoption use machine. Therefore it recommended office agriculture natural resource development districts further scaling up technology other areas benefit quite significant number farmers.
